Andrew “Andy” Condor joined the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company (EHVFC) in 1999. Over his tenure of 16 years with the company, he has filled many roles. He has held the position of Vice President for a few years and is currently the President and has been for several years. He actively rides the apparatus, keeps up on his training, and actively supports the volunteer fire company in a variety of other capacities. He handles all of the hall rentals and that is a full time job in itself. Even with that, Andy looks out for both the career staff and the volunteers in the station by playing an active role in knowing the staff needs, and most often he goes out and purchases any needed items. Because of his dedication to the fire company, many members always look to him for advice, or help, with almost anything that is needed.
Andy regularly attends the County Association meetings even though many other members always do and could report back. He feels it is his duty to attend every meeting that he can. At company meetings, he will encourage members to go to the County Association meetings or events that are coming up. He wants to help the County Association grow.
Andy has dutifully served the interest of the EHVFC. He serves as a role model for many and is known throughout the fire company and the county for his strong leadership skills.
