Paul J. Demasky, Jr. and Charlie Doegen

Paul J. Demasky, Jr. joined the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department in 1996 and then joined the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company on 3 April 2001.  In his 10-years with the company, he has served faithfully and with intensity.  He has held the operational ranks of Lieutenant, Captain, and Chief for 4-years.  He has served as Vice President of the company for 2-years and has been on the Board of Director’s for 7-years.  His dedication to the company has been steadfast whether it is something small that needs done or a larger commitment such as the Carnival Committee which Paul has served on for 5-years.  There is no task that he would not do.  Currently, he is serving as company Secretary.  He has made the fire house a family affair with his wife, Jodi, serving as the Ladies Auxiliary Secretary.  Their daughter, Caitlyn, is also a member and their son, Tyler, also helps with fire house functions.  Earleigh Heights would not be what it is today without his involvement.

 Paul has been instrumental with the County Volunteer Firefighter’s Association as well.  While he has not served in any of the offices, he unsuccessfully ran for the Board of Trustees twice as well as Second Vice President.  He is very instrumental in keeping Earleigh Heights involved with the Association by attending nearly every meeting and reports back to the Board of Director’s and the company of the happenings at the meeting.  He is always advertising the meeting and looking for new people to get involved and attend.

Paul has dutifully served the interest of the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company.  He serves as a role model for many and is known throughout the fire company and the county association for his strong leadership skills.
