CURTIS M. DYE
Chaplain
Curtis M. Dye joined the Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Department in the early 1950’s. On the administrative side, he served as Vice President and then became President. He served on the various committees to include Membership, Carnival, and Fire Prevention. On the operational side, he rose through the ranks to become Chief. In 1998, Curtis was elected President Emeritus in recognition of his dedicated service to the fire department. He was also a life member.
Curtis enjoyed attending the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association meetings and was a delegate. He proudly served as Chaplain from 1995 to 2001. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2000.
Curtis retired to an enjoyable and peaceful life with his wife, Lelia.
