Evelyn Graf
Evelyn Graf started her long volunteer fire service in the Junior Ladies Auxiliary of the Lombardee Beach Volunteer Fire Company where her parent’s and grandparent’s were members. In 1969, she joined the Ladies Auxiliary of the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company where her grandmother, Sarah Gurnee, was a member. Evelyn held the offices of Secretary, Chaplain, President, and Vice President. She was a Life Member. She later became a riding member of the fire company were she held the office of Corresponding Secretary, Financial Secretary, and Board Member. She still holds Life Membership status.
Evelyn transferred to the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company where she has held the office of Secretary and serves on the Fire Prevention Committee.
Evelyn is active in the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighter’s Association and serves as one of Earleigh Heights delegates. She served as Assistant Secretary from 1999-2001, as Secretary from 2002-2004, as Sergeant at Arms in 2005, and as Treasurer from 2006-2012. She continues to serve on the Convention Book and Fire Prevention committees. Evelyn was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2005.
Evelyn is active in the Maryland State Firemen’s Association and serves as one of Earleigh Heighs delegates to the annual convention. She continues to serve as Chairman of the Awards Committee and is on the Administration Subcommittee.
Evelyn is a full-time employee of the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute in College Park.
