JOHN A. HORNBURGER, SR.

John A, Hornburger, Sr. was a member of the Water Witch Hook and Ladder Co. in Annapolis City.

John was active in the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen's Association and served as Vice-President from 1939-1940, and President from 1940-1942. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1997.

John was active in the Maryland State Firemen's Association. In 1939, he received the Colburn Trophy Award for an Outstanding Act of Heroism. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1981.
