The Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company would like to submit Frederick G. Hyde, Sr. for the Hall of Fame. Fred has served the Citizens of Anne Arundel County for fifty-one years. He started with Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company at the age of sixteen. In 1974 he joined the Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Company, in 1991 he joined the Armiger Volunteer Fire Company and in 1993 he returned to the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company. During this time Fred has held several positions in the fire companies. He still maintains an active status with this fire company and is a representative to the County Fire Advisory Board which he has done for six years. He is a life member of the fire company. He is the second generation of four generations in the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company.
