GORDON F. KING

Gordon (Barney) King was a life member of the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department. He served as Chief for many years as well as on the Board of Directors. He was very active on the fundraising committee and worked bingo faithfully. He was also on the Building and Grounds committee. Each year, the highest award given out at the Ferndale banquet is the Barney King Award.

Barney was active in the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association. He was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 1998.
