HARRY W. KLASMEIER 

Harry Klasmeier was the first Fire Administrator for Anne Arundel County.  He held the position for approximately 20-years.  

Harry was an extremely active member in the Lombardee Beach Volunteer Fire Department.  He served as Chief for a number of years and did whatever was necessary to assist the fire department.  Lombardee Beach was merged with the Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Company and the combination fire company was fully operational on 1 July 1988.  At that time, the Lombardee Beach Volunteer Fire Company was no longer in existence.

 Harry was inducted in the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association Hall of Fame in 1997.
