THOMAS MANIFOLD
Thomas Manifold has been an active member at Deale for more than 40-years. He held the office of Chief for more than 20 of those years and currently holds the title of Chief Emeritus of Deale. In 1999, Chief Manifold was awarded the Fireman of the Year and the Top Fire Responder, awards he has received consistently over the past decade. As an EMT/B, he has been active in EMS responses for the Company. Chief Manifold has served our Department on numerous committees and chaired the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighter's Association Convention Committee several times. He has been one of Deale's delegates to the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighter's
Association for many years and attends the monthly meeting on a regular basis. Chief Manifold has represented Deale as a delegate to the Maryland State Firemen's Association Convention for numerous years.
During his 40-plus years of service, Chief Manifold has always been a consummate goodwill ambassador of the fire service. At every opportunity, he promotes fire safety education and presents a positive role model for the fire service. Chief Manifold has been a mentor to many recruits over the years and he always has the best interest of the fire service foremost in his activities. In South County, his name is synonymous with the Deale Volunteer Fire Department, a fact of which we are very proud.
