MORRIS QUIGLEY
PAST PRESIDENT 1963-1964
Morris joined the Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Company in 1940 and was elected to the permanent Board of Governors in October 1942. He was elected Vice President in November 1952 and President in January 1972. He served until June 1976 when he passed away.
Morris was active in the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association. He was appointed to the Executive Committee in 1954. He served as Secretary from 1957-1961 and was elected President for 1963-1964. In 1974, he served as a Trustee.
Morris followed the Special Fire Tax bill during the 1954-1955 General Assembly when it was passed and signed by the Governor in March 1955.
Morris was a man who had great interest in how the Charter Government would affect the fire companies in March 1964. He was a businessman with interest in the fire companies of the county.
