1st Vice-President Timothy J. Hall, Sr. and Samantha L. Howard
Tom Newquist, Jr. March 21, 2016
Our company would like to nominate Emergency Medical Technician, Samantha L. Howard, Company 42, for the Firefighter/EMT/Administration Member of the Quarter.
EMT Howard has set the bar for the rest of the company by way of dedication to maintain the ambulance in an available status and responsiveness to the new EMT candidate’s request for assistance.
Samantha is one of our most active responders, having completed EMT, EVOC, ICS 100, 200, 700, 800, Hazmat Ops, Hazmat Awareness, Blood Borne Pathogens, and has attended the National Fire Academy classes and is currently enrolled in the Paramedic program (due to graduate December 2016). Samantha has also logged countless hours with in-house training with both the career and volunteer personnel. Samantha cleared drivers training, and drives the ambulance and performs as Lead Attendant. Samantha displays such skill and knowledge I appointed her as EMS Coordinator for Company 42.
Samantha in addition to being a Top Responder as a riding active member participates in fund-raising activities and special events the company host as well as teaching CPR to company members and community organizations.
EMT Howard is a motivated individual, self-starter, and team player. Samantha shows a great deal of respect to all, and a commitment to the fire service before herself.
