President Joe Larsen recommended and the awards committee agreed to award the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighter, EMT, Admin Member of the Quarter Award for the first quarter of 2012. Since AACO LT Sam Balsum experienced a stroke while on duty at the Lake Shore Station, the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company has gone above and beyond to raise funds to help Sam and his family.
