EMT-P Crystal Richmond
Arundel Volunteer Fire Department (Station7)
Since the begining of this calendar year, Crystal has reached several fire services milestones, as well as, created educational materials and provided training to many volunteer at Station 7 and citizens abroad. Additionally, she plays an active role in responding to emergencies.
Following are just some of her recent accomplishments:
Since January, she has taught 13 CPR classes with a total of 67 students present, two of which were reserve officers with the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
Since january, she has taught 5 First Aid classes with a total of 19 students.
In May, she graduated from the university of Maryland Baltimore County with a Bachelors Degree in Emergency Health Services, and has since become a Nationally Registered Paramedic.
In July, she was hired as a Paramedic with the Queen Anne's County Department of Emergency Services.
Crystal has developed Station7's volunteer EMT package that is utilized to train new EMT-B's before clearing them to ride as a second Aid.
Crystal helped Station 7 secure grant funding to purchase CPR equipment that is being utilized in her training.
Finally, she continues to spend countless hours at the station providing emergency medical services by responding to calls.
