 Robin L. Browning was an active and life member of the Deale Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.  She served as President for 31-years and held the position at the time of her sudden death on 5 February 2010.  She was active in fundraising activities and served on countless committees over the years.

 Robin was active in the Ladies Auxiliary to the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association Ladies Auxiliary.  She served as President from 1985-1986. When the County Auxiliary was having difficulties finding members willing to serve as officers, she took the responsibility of going through the chairs again and served as President from 2007-2008. Robin’s mother and younger sister also served as President of the County Ladies Auxiliary.  In her Convention Book dedication for the 2008 convention, she dedicated the book to her mother, Virginia, citing she was merely following in her mother’s footsteps to help others and to support her community – especially the fire company.   She served as a delegate for the meetings and was active on many committees through the years to include Convention, Hall of Fame, Installation, Parliamentarian, and Ways and Means.  At the time of her death, she was serving as Pins and Badges chairperson.  As Pins and Badges chairperson, she was responsible for creating and acquiring new pins for our Past Presidents.  She worked with the badge manufacturer and came up with a beautiful end product.  She was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2003.

 Robin was active in the Maryland State Volunteer Firemen’s Association Ladies Auxiliary and served as President from 1997-1998.  She was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2002.  She was a delegate for the meetings and was active on many committees over the years.

 Robin was a founding committee member and Secretary of the Maryland Fire and Rescue Services Memorial Foundation.  She dedicated many hours to make the memorial what it is today.  When Robin passed away, memorial donations were requested to be sent to the Memorial Foundation.

 Robin was a member and Past President of the Ladies of the Elks, Deale Lodge 2528. She was also a member of the Deale area Historical Society. 

 Robin was a woman that knew what she wanted to do and she did it.  She set high goals for herself and achieved them.  She was a woman who was not afraid to speak out for what she believed in.  She expressed her feelings straightforwardly and candidly.  She called it as she saw it, life moved on, and Robin continued to do her business professionally.
