Geraldine “Jerry” Burton
Earleigh Heights
Geraldine “Jerry” Burton is a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company. She has been a member of the company since March 1959 and has forty-one years of dedicated service.
Jerry has held many of the offices including President, Vice-President and Treasurer. She chaired most of the committees over the last forty-one years. Some of those committees being auditing, By-laws, carnival, entertainment, nominations, publicity, sunshine and ways and means committee, which she assumed the duties when the chairperson became ill. It was no easy task to fill the shoes of the previous chairpersons Helen Shiroky and Rita Danley. This chair is a full-time job in itself from making salads and sandwiches for the weekly bingo to purchasing, planning and cooking. If something needs to be done Jerry is the one for the job.
Jerry’s love and dedication to the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company makes her a great candidate and we are proud to nominate her for the Anne Arundel County Ladies Auxiliary Hall of Fame.
