Frances was an active member of the Arnold Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Frances served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association from 1957-1958. She was one of the two people from the Arnold Ladies Auxiliary to serve as President in the 75-year history of the County Ladies Auxiliary. She was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2003.
