COMMENTS: The Maryland City VFD Auxiliary is nominating Elizabeth M. “Libby” Eastham for the Hall of Fame. Libby has been an active member of our auxiliary for over 20 years. She had a break in service when she moved to Kentucky, but rejoined in June 1985 when she came back home. Libby has served as Vice-Chaplain, Chaplain, Treasurer, and Vice-President, and is currently serving as our Chaplain. She has served on the Sunshine, Ways and Means, Membership, and Nominating committees. For the past two years she has served as Co-Chairman of the spring and fall sub sale. Libby received the auxiliary President’s award for 91-92, and was one of three to receive the award for 95-96. She received an appreciation award for 90-91 and a Letter of Appreciation for 93-94 for her consistent help and support to our auxiliary. She has received Perfect Attendance certificates to meetings for the past three years.
She is a regular attendee of the bi-monthly county meetings and has been a delegate for the annual convention for many years. She served on the Pins and Badges committee for the Ladies Auxiliary to the Maryland State Firemen’s Association for 90-91.
Libby willing helps the auxiliary in any way she can and can always be depended on for whatever the reason. She acts as messenger for our president on many occasions and coordinates the auxiliary’s annual picnic. She does an outstanding job as Sunshine Chairperson and is very conscientious. We hope the committee feels as we do, that Libby is most deserving of induction into the Hall of Fame.
