Mary Hyde was an active member of the Jessup Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

 

Mary served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association from 1969-1970. She was inducted in the Hall of Fame in July 2003.

 

Mary served as Conference Chairman for the Ladies Auxiliary to the Maryland State Firemen’s Association from 1965-1966. During her term as Conference Chairman, she shared a reading called the Faithful Few at the Fall Conference in 1965 at the Earleigh Heights Fire House. The reading was passed down and will be included in the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighter’s Association Ladies Auxiliary 75^th Anniversary program in May 2013.
