Sharon Owen

AACVFALA Past President 2005-2007

  Sharon comes from a long line of family members in the fire services. Her father was an active member of the West Annapolis Volunteer Fire and Improvement Company, along with her brother. Her mother was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

  Sharon has proven to be an asset to the Ladies Auxiliary Of The West Annapolis Fire Company. Ever since she was a little girl, she has worked side by side with her mother and other members of the auxiliary in the kitchen at the fire house. She would help with bingos. fundraisers and dinners. Sharon continues to be very active and involved in special events hosted by West Annapolis Volunteer Fire and Improvement Company.

  Sharon has held many offices in the company over the past several years. She has been Secretary, Treasurer. Vice President and President of the Ladies Auxiliary. Currently she holds the offices of Secretary and Treasurer. She has also held offices for the Ladies Auxiliary Anne Arundel Country Volunteer Firefighter's Association. She has been Treasurer for two years and held a dual role of Vice President and Acting President.

  She currently holds the office of President. She continues to support the local and state associations. She is also working with Maryland Fire-Rescue Services Memorial Foundation, Inc. as the Chairperson of the Silent Auction. She is also very active in her Church and is a member of the Community Service Committee at her office. This committee works with the Social Services Department throughout the year helping families.

We as an auxiliary are very proud of her accomplishments in the fire services.
