Mary was an active member of the Brooklyn Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Mary served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association from 1978-1979. Mary was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2003.

Mary’s husband, Morris, served as President of the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association from 1963-1964. He was inducted in the Association Hall of Fame in 1997.
