MARIAN G. SHIRKEY

 Marian G. Shirkey was an active member of the Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She held every position in the Ladies Auxiliary. She was tireless in her zest to help others. She was very active in helping the Woodland Beach Volunteer Fire Company with their fundraisers and fire prevention programs. Marian is a Life Member of the Ladies Auxiliary.

Marian was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary to the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association. She faithfully attended the meetings and served on many committees. She enjoyed the friendship of the fellow members. Marian rose through the chairs to become President from 1972-1973. She was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2003.

Marian was also active in the Ladies Auxiliary to the Maryland State Firemen’s Association. She served as President from 1981-1982. She was inducted in the Hall of Fame in 2002.

Marian retired to Florida with her husband, Roy, to enjoy life.
