Miscellaneous Accomplishments

1. Made uniforms for Auxiliary members on numerous occasions
2. Master cake maker for Ladies Auxiliary, including wedding cakes for catered weddings, cake sales, and raffles
3. Ordered and supervised preparation of all foods for the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company including dances, oyster and bull roasts, shrimp feasts, crab feast, New Years parties and numerous functions which required foods for over thirty-five years.

    For forty-one years, Helen Shiroky was the back bone and driving force behind the Ladies Auxiliary to the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company. From 1990 until her death on June 10, 1992, Helen could still be found in the kitchen planning and assisting on the events held by the Earleigh Heights Ladies Auxiliary, even though gravely ill.

    Helen Shiroky has been missed by all who were associated with her over the years. The Ladies Auxiliary to the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company respectfully submits this nomination to be included for induction into the Original Hall of Fame.
