OTHER SERVICE TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT: Served as a county officer back in the 70’s. Served on the Ways and Means committee for the county for 91-92. Served on several state committees – most notably Ways and Means.
SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITION RECEIVED: Letters of Appreciation in 91 and 94. Appreciation plague in May 97.
COMMENTS: The Maryland City VFD Auxiliary is nominating Mary Stewart for the Hall of Fame. Mary has been an active member of our auxiliary for over 25 years. She served as Secretary for 18 years. She has served on the Constitution and By-laws, Zerox, Nominating, and Special Projects committees for our auxiliary. For the past several years, she has been co-chairman of the spring and fall Baseball Card Show. Mary received Letters of Appreciation for 90-91 and 93-94 and for 96-97, she received an appreciation plague for her dedication to the auxiliary.
Mary served as Color Bearer for the county auxiliary back in the 80’s and served as co-chairman of the Ways and Means committee for 91-92. Mary faithfully attends the county auxiliary meetings and is a delegate each year for the annual convention.
Mary has served on many committees of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Maryland State Firemen’s Association including Ways and Means, County Organizer and Sick for Anne Arundel County and Publicity for Anne Arundel County. Mary has been a delegate to the convention for many, many years and looks forward to attending the convention. She is also one of our representatives at fall and spring conferences each year.
Mary is always willing to donate prizes for raffles and door prizes. She is more than glad to help in any way she can and can always be depended on being there. We hope the committee feels as we do, that Mary is most deserving of induction into the Hall of Fame.
