COMMENTS: Irene was recruited as a volunteer helper for the Jessup Auxiliary about 35 years ago to help cater the wedding of a local fireman. She has been active ever since and is a Life Member of the Auxiliary.

    She has served as Historian, and Chaplain within the Jessup Auxiliary and has done an exceptional job.

    Irene has served on the Bingo Committee, Catering Committee, Fire Prevention Committee, Membership Committee, Refreshment Committee, Annual Fund Raising Committee, and also Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee.

    Other services have been rendered to the Fire Department as a member of the Awards Banquet Committee and the Holiday Open House Fire Safety Program held each year in December.

    On the County level, Irene was a member of the Decorating Committee for the 50^th Anniversary of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firemen’s Association. She also served as a member of the Decorating Committee on numerous occasions for the Annual Firemen’s Ball held annually.

    This lady is a dedicated, loyal, and steadfast worker, truly a “right hand” to the local Auxiliary President.
