As a member of the association I find it deplorable that we don't get minutes until the day before the next meeting. I can't make every meeting but to hear about it the day before the next is unacceptable. How are we expected to read over them for approval with less than 24 hours to do so?

I had the pleasure (most of the time), working on the same shift as Les at Oldtown. He was a very good chief and watched out for his men, and if he had to let you know that you screwed up, it was always done in private. He treated everyone the same, no matter rank, etc.

After nearly 50 years in fire protection and fire safety training, I look back fondly to AA Co. and especially to Riva VFD where I got "bitten" in 1958, and I've never regretted anything since.
Fondest regards to all at Riva, and to any members of Independant Hose when it responded from Duke of Gloucester/Market St.
