Jay T. Shipley
President 2004-2005

Jay T. Shipley joined the Herald Harbor Volunteer Fire Department in 1982. He was Vice President from1990-1994 and held a position on the Board of Directors.  He became President in 1994 and held that office until 1997. In 2000, Jay became a Life Member.

Jay moved to Pasadena in 2001 and joined the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company in 2002.  He held all fire line positions. He served as Chief in 2010 and again in 2016.  Jay is currently serving as President.

Jay served as Second Vice President for the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Associationfrom 2002-2003, First Vice President from 2003-2004, and served as President from 2004-2005. He has also served on various committees.

Jay holds Pro Board Certifications to include Firefighter 1 and 2, Arial OPS, Fire Officer 1, 2, 3, and 4, Incident Safety Officer, Fire Boat Mate 1 and 2, and Fire Boat MVO.

Jay participates in fundraising to include Carnival. Gun Bash, Pit Beef Food Stand, Open Houses, Bingo, and any fundraising activity that is scheduled.
