Donna C. Odendhal and Patti Kidwell

On September 6, 2024, Donna C. Odendhal of the Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Company (LSVFC) was inducted in the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association (AACVFA) Hall of Fame.

Donna joined the LSVFC in January of 2001.  She is a Life Member with 23 years of active service.  She has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2010.  She has served as Hall Manager since 2006.  She has also actively served on committees including Eligibility since 2007, Ways and Means since 2007, and Bingo since 2004. She is also active at the LSVFC carnival and has served as carnival treasurer since 2018. Donna has worked tirelessly assisting with fundraising and community events including Crab Feast, Pit Beef sales, bingo, and the LSVFC Salute to Veterans Dinner.

Donna joined the LSVFC Auxiliary in March 2002 and has served as Vice President since 2010. She is active on committees including the Peg Mekins award committee.  Donna received the Peg Mekins award in 2003 (the highest honor in the LSVFC Auxiliary) and Member of the Year in 2007, 2011, and 2013.  She received the Most Dedicated Member in 2004, and the President’s award in 2017.

Donna is also an active member of the AACVFA.  She has served as a delegate to the meetings since 2010.  She has served as chairperson of the Ways and Means committee on different occasions.  Donna has been a member of the Fire and Life Safety, Recruitment and Retention, and RENFEST committees.  She was very supportive of her husband, Cliff, when he served as Seargent at Arms and Chairperson of the RENFEST committee for over 10-years.

Donna is a regular attendee of the AACVFA Ladies Auxiliary bi-monthly meetings and was inducted in their Hall of Fame in September 2022.

Donna has been a delegate to the Ladies Auxiliary to the Maryland State Firemen’s Association since 2014.

Donna is an integral part of the LSVFC and Auxiliary and can always be counted on to lend a helping hand wherever needed.
