The officers and members of the Odenton Volunteer Fire Company (OVFC) are pleased to nominate EMT Brandy Boulden for the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association’s Firefighter/EMT/ Administrative Member of the Quarter Award.

Brandy joined the OVFC in June 2016.  Immediately upon joining, she demonstrated herself to be a valuable asset to our fire company and the community.  Brandy quickly assimilated into our organization and gained recognition and respect as a dedicated member, unselfishly volunteering many hours to the betterment of the company.

EMT Boulden has been a very active member since the very start of her membership.  She demonstrated a friendly and positive attitude from her first week.  Brandy is very energetic and tireless in all that she does.  She regularly seeks additional knowledge in the training she takes and volunteers her assistance to help others as they train.  She is always first to assist in cleaning the apparatus, actively participates in training events, enthusiastically supports company functions, and cheerfully performs station housework.

Brandy completed EMT training in June where she finished in the top of her class.  She took every class seriously and sought out additional training from senior EMTs after every session.  While in EMT training, she actively prepared herself to ride the ambulance, completing both Protective Equipment and SCBA and HAZMAT Operations.  She has been a very active riding EMT since July, proudly serving the Odenton community and honorably representing our fire company.  Brandy is always one of the first to raise her hand when the call goes out for additional volunteer support, both operationally and administratively.  Since becoming an EMT, she has volunteered to support EMS functions requested by the community, including fun runs and neighborhood festivals.
