To the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association,
We are pleased to nominate FFII/EMT Brandon Pfeifer of the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company for FF/EMT/Admin Member of the Quarter.
Brandon joined the Rivier Beach Volunteer Fire Company when he was 17 and has been a member of the Company for over 13 years as an active
member. Last year during some very challenging times, Brandon was elected mid-year to the position of Vice President and was re-elected this year.
He has been a crucial member of the team making critical decision on company business.
FFII/EMT Pfeifer has proven himself as a leader on the Board and as an emergency responder with providing exceptional care to the communities
of Northern Anne azrundel County with responding to over 289 calls in the last 12 months. Although not currently recognized due to delay of the
Company awards banquet, Brandon has met the criteria for Top Responder for 2020. He has held multiple training opportunities for EMT students as
well as participated in friends/family CPR and Stop the Bleed training for the community.
During his time at Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company, he has been a true advocate for the Marine division. During a training exercise, Brandon,
Chief Bryan Gregg, and Scott Chaney came across a jet skier in distress. After removal from the water and rapid assessment it was determined the
patient had serious life threating injuries in which the patient was transported to a local trauma center.
In addition to his volunteer duties, Brandon has worked over 2000 hours during this pandemic with Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab Fire
Department providing Hazardous waste mitigation as a Technician, Emergency Medical and Fire Protection Services to the jurisdictions surrounding
the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab main campus.
Brandon's leadership and dedicatiton to this Company over this past year have been truly exceptional, standing above his peers in performance. He
is a true example of the values Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company leadership brings to our communities we serve.
