It’s with great pleasure that I submit this nominee for consideration into the LA AACVFA Hall of Fame.

This nominee is a Life Member of her company, where she served in many positions to include almost 20 years as President of the Auxiliary. This member does not shy away from lending a hand whenever it’s needed.  From helping plan events like our Annual Banquet, stepping up to coordinate the purchase of Earleigh Heights logo items and more recently executing Lunch with the Easter Bunny; an event EHVFC host at no cost to the community youth.

While she’s formally been a member for 37 years, like many others, her time around the firehouse started in her adolescence.  With her family deeply rooted in the EHVFC history, she spent many of life’s milestones at the firehouse; especially her birthday since it happens to fall each year during carnival. Finally, this member also previously served as Miss Earleigh Heights in the 1980’s.

She has always shown support to the LA AACVFA where she has become more active over the last few years.  Her desire to serve has help support the auxiliary fill vacant positions during that time. 

Her occupation within the Anne Arundel County Public Schools - Food Service Division has helped her excel with her home auxiliary duties.

Her hobbies include spending time on the baseball field with her son, mom to her three (3) adult daughters and being a grandmother to her grandson.  She enjoys spending time down the ocean, camping, and being with her friends and family.

As you can see, this member is a well-rounded individual who is dedicated to her home company, as well as the LAAACVFA organization.  It’s for that reason, we’d like for you to consider the induction of Helen Thomas of the Earleigh Heights VFC Auxiliary into the LA AACVFA Hall of Fame.
