Jesse Fisher Trophy

This trophy was instituted in 1955 in honor of and as a tribute to Chief Jesse Fisher the first President of the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association. Chief Fisher was instrumental in the formulation of formal fire service training statewide.

This award is administered by the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association Board of Trustees using the official training records from the Training Division of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. At each convention the company that is declared the winner shall be presented the current Jesse Fisher trophy with their name and the year engraved thereon, to be displayed in their station until the following August. The company that had been the immediate previous winner shall be presented with a plaque denoting the Award and the year received.
