Edwin "Boots" Raynor Award

Sponsor: Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company
Purpose: To recognize the individual who dedicates the most hours to Fire, Rescue, or EMS related training during the year.
Background: This award was instituted in 1988 by the Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company in memory of Chief Edwin E. "Boots" Raynor. Chief Raynor was a long time Rescue Instructor for MFRI and was very active in Rescue Competitions. He died in 1986 in the line of duty as a result of a fire response.
Administration: This award is to be administered by the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association Board of Trustees using the official training records from the Training Academy of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. A plaque will be presented to the winner at the Anne Arundel County Volunteer Firefighters Association Convention.
